At Lazar, we're thinking GREEN.

We're concerned about the impact that global warming, deforestation and hazardous waste are having on our fragile planet. That's why we've made a commitment to produce long lasting quality furniture while offering our customers materials and methods that have the least impact on our environment.

For example, Lazar's sustainability committee is working with existing suppliers and evaluating new environmentally conscious suppliers in order to produce a greener product, while concurrently taking action on internal practices to reduce waste and increase our recycling initiatives.

One of our key advantages relative to achieving our sustainability objective is the fact that we have manufacturing facilities in California and North Carolina which significantly reduces not only the cost of transportation, but also the environmental effects associated with shipping products to our customers.

Recently, Lazar as a founding member, joined the Sustainable Furniture Council, a non-profit organization devoted to promoting sustainable practices within the home furnishings industry with the objective of creating a healthy balance between environmental conservation, social equity and economic development. We in the furniture industry need to accept our responsibility and do our part to protect the environment.
